Poombuhar & Easwaripuram (Vavuniya District)

 Vavuniya

These villages are located in the Vavuniya district in the North Central Province of Sri Lanka. Poombuhar and Easwariouram was adopted in 2001 and 2008 respectively and a total of 230 families are present. These two villages were having a lack of medical facilities. Therefore, the following activities were carried out,

• Organising medical clinics in both villages twice a month.
• Provision of power supply to 20 houses.
• Constructed a well each for both villages.
• Providing dry rations to families during the drought season.
• Construction of a multipurpose hall in Poombuhar.

In the year 2012, a bhajan mandala was initiated in Poombuhar and bhajans are being conducted on a weekly basis.
