With Bhagawan’s infinite grace, the Northern Region of SSSIO Sri Lanka organized two Village Service Projects during the month of March 2025, bringing much-needed relief, guidance, and spiritual upliftment to communities in Palaly and Navalady, Jaffna.

Both initiatives were carried out, aiming to support physical well-being, foster human values, and provide sustainable assistance to underserved areas. These projects were organized with the wholehearted participation of Sai volunteers from Jaffna and Point Pedro Sai Centres.

The Palaly project was held on 2nd March and benefitted 82 participants, including 45 resettled families and those expected to be resettled soon. The activities included:

  • Value-based sessions on prayer, parenting, hygiene awareness, and community games;
  • Medical guidance and health awareness programs;
  • Extensive distribution of fruit trees and vegetable seedlings, with over 120 fruit saplings and planting kits provided to 30 households, carefully matched to suitable locations for planting;
  • Fertilizer packs were distributed to 40 families, empowering them to cultivate their home gardens sustainably;
  • Narayan Seva meals were lovingly prepared and served to approximately 200 people.

Meanwhile, in Navalady the project was held on 24th March, which included:

  • A free medical camp with checkups and consultations for 70 beneficiaries, including home visits for the immobile or elderly;
  • Distribution of fruit and coconut saplings to encourage home gardening and long-term nourishment;
  • Parenting sessions and interactive discussions on Human Values and Right Living;
  • Nutritious Sai Protein Mix distribution to 22 children under 5 years, with arrangements made for ongoing access for children in need;
  • Narayan Seva with home-cooked meal packs prepared by Sai devotees and offered to over 250 individuals;
  • Group prayers and devotional singing to reinforce the importance of spirituality in daily life.

Both projects served as a testament to the transformative power of selfless service and Swami’s ever-present guidance. The collaboration between multiple Sai Centres and the involvement of dedicated volunteers ensured that both the material and spiritual needs of these rural communities were met with love and dignity.
