In light of Swami’s 99th Birthday, the Jaffna Sathya Sai Seva Centre in the Northern Region organized a memorable service event at Karunalayam Children’s Home in Neerveli, Jaffna, on November 2, 2024. The day was filled with meaningful activities aimed at sharing love, joy, and uplifting the spirits of the children, many of whom are orphans or from single-parent households.
The day’s program began with prayers, bhajans, and the chanting of the Gayatri Mantra, creating a serene and spiritually uplifting environment. Sai volunteers engaged the children in interactive discussions, allowing them to share their thoughts and build a sense of connection and understanding. Team games and a friendly cricket match added an element of joy and laughter, allowing the children to bond with the volunteers and each other. A nutritious Narayana Seva lunch was shared with the children, symbolizing unity and embodying Swami’s teachings of love and service.
This service event brought joy to 21 children, made possible through the heartfelt dedication of 16 Sai volunteers. It was a sincere tribute to Swami, whose teachings of compassion and selflessness inspired every activity of the day. The occasion beautifully reflected Swami's message of love, and we are deeply grateful for the blessing of this opportunity to serve.
